Exciting News: Siraya Tech Enters the World of 3D Printing Filaments!

Hi Siraya Tech Community,

I'm thrilled to share some big news with you all – Siraya Tech is taking a bold new step into the world of 3D printing filaments! We're kicking off with our first line, the 'Flex' series, featuring TPU with an 85A hardness.

Why Filaments, and Why Now?

You might be wondering, "Why venture into 3D printer filaments at this stage?" Well, it all started with your feedback. Many of you are creating functional parts and have been vocal about your material needs. Early in 2023, we assembled a dedicated team of thermoplastic experts – a whole new ball game compared to our work with resins. While the filament market is crowded, we see an unmet need for high-performance, engineering-grade materials. We're bringing our ethos of affordable, professional-grade materials from the resin world to our filament endeavors.

Why Start with TPU?

Resins have their strengths – superb resolution, speed, color range, high HDT, and chemical resistance. But when it comes to flexibility, there's a gap. Our Tenacious line has been a hit for those seeking more pliability in resins, yet it can't quite match TPU's blend of strength, chemical resistance, varying hardness levels, and affordability. This is particularly true for prints that don't need ultra-high resolution and require immediate functionality post-printing.

Our decision to start with TPU, specifically the less common 85A hardness, aims to fill this gap. There are plenty of options for TPU 95A, but 85A choices are scarce and pricey.

We've honed in on the challenges of printing with TPU 85A - ease of use, speed, and cost. That's how we developed our Flex TPU 85A: user-friendly (ideal for direct drive extruders), faster flow, and priced at just $39.99 per kg.

Hello dear Mr. Peng,
That‘s exciting news. You are right. The filament is really crowded indeed. But when you want to buy technical filaments it gets very pricey. So I think that you will be very successful with your upcoming filament portfolio.
Kind regards from Katja aka Cat3D
