How to Print Your Airless Basketball
Printing a complex lattice structure requires precision. Follow these tips for success with Siraya Tech filaments:
- Dry It First: PEBA is sensitive to moisture. Dry your spool at 55°C-60°C for at least 4 hours before printing to prevent stinging and weak layers.
- Go Slow: This is a high-performance elastomer. Print at 20-40mm/s for the outer walls to ensure perfect layer bonding. Rushing the print can cause the delicate lattice struts to fail.
- No AMS: Because PEBA is soft and flexible, it should not be run through multi-material systems like the Bambu AMS. Feed it directly from an external spool holder to avoid jams.
- Temperature Control: Print at 235°C-250°C (depending on your nozzle) with the bed at 45°C-60°C. Turn your cooling fan up to 100% to keep the lattice overhangs crisp.
