We're thrilled to announce the launch of our newest addition to the Siraya Tech Fibreheat family: ASA-GF White! This advanced filament combines the exceptional properties of ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) with the strength of chopped glass fiber, offering a superior alternative to ABS for outdoor and high-performance 3D printing applications.

ASA-GF vs. ABS: A Clear Winner for Outdoor Use

While ABS has long been a popular choice for functional prints, ASA-GF takes durability and weather resistance to the next level. Here's how our new white ASA-GF filament outperforms traditional ABS:

Superior UV Resistance: Unlike ABS, which tends to yellow and degrade when exposed to sunlight, ASA-GF maintains its color and mechanical properties even after prolonged outdoor exposure.

Better Weather Resistance: ASA-GF offers excellent resistance to moisture, heat, and cold, making it ideal for outdoor applications where ABS might fail.

Higher Heat Resistance: With a glass transition temperature of 106°C and heat deflection temperature (HDT) of 92-97°C, ASA-GF can withstand higher temperatures than typical ABS.

Improved Chemical Resistance: ASA-GF shows better resistance to various chemicals and solvents compared to ABS.

The Glass Fiber Advantage

The addition of chopped glass fiber to our ASA filament brings several significant benefits:

Enhanced Strength: Glass fiber reinforcement dramatically increases the tensile and flexural strength of the material, with a tensile strength of up to 45.78 MPa in the XY direction.

Improved Stiffness: The glass fiber increases the material's modulus, resulting in parts with higher rigidity and less flex under load.
