Can I print TPU 85A on a Bowden extruder?
While direct drive extruders are generally recommended for flexibles, our tpu 85a filament is formulated for ease of printing. With a well-tuned Bowden setup (slow speeds, no retraction, and a tight filament path), many users achieve excellent results, though a direct drive will allow for the fastest speeds.
Do I need a heated bed for this filament?
Yes, a heated bed helps significantly with adhesion. We generally recommend a bed temperature between 40°C and 60°C. For the best results, ensure your bed is level and clean, or use a release agent if printing on PEI to prevent it from sticking too well.
How do I stop TPU from stringing?
Stringing is common with flexibles due to moisture and pressure. First, ensure your TPU 85A filament is dry (TPU absorbs moisture quickly).
